Qogi Préschool is next to the house of Chief Alfred, the traditional leader of the area. The Préschool is located in the communitybuilding of Qogi. Nomtandaso was in the first group of Montessori teachers. Her dream to be a teacher was cruelly disturbed when she had a caraccident and she got parallised. With the help of Obonto she however could make het dreams come true.

Unfortunately Nomtandaso quit the course a few weeks before graduation. She became pregnant and followed the father of her baby to Johannesburg. That also happens too many in South Africa.... She left the school, the childen, the furniture and the schoolmaterials we provided behind. That's the struggle a NGO has to cope with. A project can only succeed whwn the community, the Chief and the teachers are motivated and cooperate. 

Chief Alfred and his wife promised us to find another teacher. If they don't, we have to finish our support to Qogi Préschool.

A local woman from Qogi is now in the new course of Montessori teachers. This gives us some hoop to reopen the Qogi Préschool in the future.
